About the album
This album, as well as the previous “ Kraftwerk 2 ” (1972), was recorded by a short Kraftwerk lineup - a duet of Ralph Hütter and Florian Schneider without additional musicians. Conrad (Connie) Planck again played the role of sound engineer and co-producer.
“Ralf und Florian”, as well as the two previous Kraftwerk albums, were released only on records, and were never re-released officially on CDs (only on pirated editions).
The album consists almost entirely of instrumental music. A voice (without words) appears in the compositions “Tanzmusik” and “Ananas Symphonie”, in which Kraftwerk first used the vocoder , which later became the hallmark of the band.
