- Jerry Leiber and Mike Stoller , Chris Christofferson , Fred Rose , Carolyn Lee , Bob Crave , Don Ray , Jean de Paul , Saul Chaplin and Charles Strauss were included in the Composers Hall of Fame .
- The American-Spanish horror film “ Lord of the Dogs ” (has two variants of the name: “Monster Dog” and “Leviatán”) with Alice Cooper in the lead role was released. The picture was shot in 1984 in the Spanish city of Torrelodones , near Madrid .
- The video clip of the Christian rock band “ DeGarmo & Key ” for the song “Six, Six, Six” was banned from showing on MTV due to scenes of cruelty and violence . However, later the channel’s management allowed the musicians to release a re-released version of the clip and put it back on air. A fragment was cut from it in which a man knocks down a burning barrel on the Antichrist and he lights up. It was replaced by another scene in which the Antichrist holds a magic ball in his left hand.

- March 23 - Billy Joel married supermodel and actress Christie Brinkley (who had previously starred in the video for his song “ Uptown Girl ”). The wedding ceremony was held on a yacht sailing along the Hudson River , near the Statue of Liberty . The wedding was attended by about 175 friends and relatives. Among the guests were also such eminent musicians as Paul Simon and " Stray Cats ".

- May 29 - During a six-month tour of The 'No Jacket Required' World Tour 85 in support of No Jacket Required's third solo album , Phil Collins performed at the Reunion Arena in Dallas , Texas . The concert was filmed and released in VHS under the name "No Ticket Required" on June 2, 1992 . The program was also released on laser discs.
