- Rolling Stone magazine publishes a list of the 500 greatest albums of all time according to Rolling Stone magazine.
- Tatu Group successfully conquers the West and performs at the Eurovision Song Contest 2003 in Riga . The group took the third place.

The best-selling singles of 2003 in the world (according to [1] ). Sales compared with the previous year significantly decreased. The leader of the chart has reached only 6 million mark, which is not the best result compared to the previous leaders of the annual global chart. In addition to American performers, two British performers and one performer from Russia and Canada also entered the final chart of 2003. Avril Lavigne and Eminem are the only performers from this chart who enter the final TOP-10 for the second year in a row. The Russian group Tatu became the first representative of the Russian music market who managed to enter the global global chart.
