The village arose on the site of the Ozinki railway station . Named in honor of the village of Ozinki (now Old Ozinki ), located 4 km from it.

The village is located on the banks of the Bolshaya Chalykla River (the Greater Irgiz basin).

At the Ozinki railway station of the Volga Railway ( Saratov - Ershov - Uralsk line ) there is a railway checkpoint that also serves railway passengers - citizens of all countries of the world. In the village there is an international automobile checkpoint across the border (to Kazakhstan ), passing citizens of all countries of the world [1] .

There was also the village of Ozinki on the Small Irgiz River at the confluence of the Krasnaya River, flooded in the 60s during the construction of the Saratov reservoir [2] .

History

Fedorovskaya church in the village

The moment of foundation of the Ozinki station in 1894 can be considered the date of foundation of the village [3] .

The village of Ozinki arose at the railway station of Ozinki. The population was formed from the village of Ozinki (now Old Ozinki ) and the nearest settlements. The station was a transport and storage hub of the nearest villages: Lime Plant , Shale Mine and other industries and agricultural enterprises. Around the Lime Plant, the railway makes a loop.

In 1928, the Ozinki station became the center of the Ozinsky district as part of the Pugachevsky district of the Lower Volga region (since 1936 - in the Saratov region ).

In 1929, a brick-lime factory was launched. In 1930, a lime factory. In 1932, the Ozinkovskaya MTS was launched. In 1938, an elevator, a depot, a regional printing house, and a bakery were built [4] .

The population lives in huts with a flat roof made of adobe brick with small windows.

The status of an urban-type settlement has been since 1940 .

On August 28, 1941, eviction of the Volga Germans ( Autonomous Socialist Soviet Republic of the Volga Germans (now the south-central part of the Saratov Region), the Saratov Region and the Stalingrad Region) by decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR , in connection with the approach of the military front with Germany, to the Kazakh SSR , to Altai and Siberia [5] .

In 1954, the development of virgin land began. In the Ozinsky district, virgin and fallow lands are being plowed up, new state farms are being created. Since 1960, a poultry farm has been built, the creamery is expanding and modernizing. A plant for reinforced concrete products and a plant for building materials (CCM) are being built [4] .

Recent History

The economic crisis of the 90s and the restructuring of the economy into free market relations caused serious damage to the economy of the village and the region. Many enterprises are closing.

In 2010, the construction of the mosque was completed [6] .

December 20, 2015 the construction of the Fedorov Church was completed [7] .

Climate

The climate of the village is sharply continental, arid, with frosty, snowy winters and hot summers.
