Riverside was the second track to host the US Grand Prix ( Indianapolis , which hosts the Indy 500 , does not count, it was formally included in the Formula 1 calendar from 1950 to 1960 ). The only Formula 1 race took place on this track on November 20, 1960 . From pole position started Stirling Moss on Lotus 18 (result in qualifying 1: 54.4), he also won the race. The fastest lap in the race was shown by Jack Brabham on the Cooper T53 (1: 56.3 / 71st lap).
