Biography
Evelina Vladimirovna was born in Perm in the second half of the 19th century in the family of a state adviser Vladimir Ivanovich Zimmerman , a senior doctor at the Alexander Hospital. She graduated from the Mariinsky gymnasium. She married Vasily Ivanovich Gennikh , owner of the printing house. They had five sons and two daughters. When her husband passed away, Evelina Vladimirovna invited the sisters of Ottilia and Margarita to open a private primary school and became her landlord. [2] [3]
The school was opened on September 22, 1886 and lasted until 1919. In addition to managing the school, Evelina Vladimirovna taught German . In 1903, the school was transformed into a male private gymnasium with a government program. In 1907 - received the status of a male private gymnasium with a state program. Among the graduates of the school were S. I. Shumsky , an otolaryngologist professor, G. Ya. Golshmidt , a professor of psychiatry, A. A. Künzel , founder of the Perm Society of Physiotherapists, N. N. Serebrennikov , founder of the Perm Art Gallery. [4] [5]
Little is known about the fate of Evelina Vladimirovna after the 1917 revolution. It is believed that after the arrest of her sister Ottilia in 1920, she left for Moscow .
Family
- The grandson of Vladimir Ivanovich Yavoysky (died in 1988) was the director of the Steel Institute. [5] [3]
Memory
On October 5, 2006, a monument to the Zimmerman sisters in the form of a black granite stele was unveiled at the Lutheran site of the Yegoshikhinsky cemetery . [1] [3]
