Content
History
The cinema was built in April 1971. During Soviet times, the slogan was placed on the cinema - “Of all the arts, cinema is the most important for us” - V.I. Lenin. The ticket for the children's session cost 10 kopecks. For the first time in Nikolaev in the cinema "Youth" were shown "Star Wars - The Empire Strikes Back", the premiere took place in 1991.
In August 2001, renovated in European style. The cinema was well provided with equipment for showing films, but it had only one hall. Cinema provided the following services:
- cafe-bar in the lobby;
- summer cafe at the entrance to the cinema;
- sale and rental of licensed DVD and video tapes in a special paragraph;
- Aval ATM in the cinema;
- parking near the institution [1] .
In January 2013, the cinema was closed due to non-profitability [2] .
Currently, the only concert hall in the city of Nikolaev is located in the building of the former cinema. In 2016, the Alliance Company developed a project for the reconstruction of the cinema building, the implementation of which will allow the building to fully comply with the requirements for concert halls.
