Story

Game Startup Screensaver

2000 years before the events of the game, the demon Jashi ( Eng. Jashiin ) invaded Earth, and sending many terrible monsters to it, became the ruler of the world. However, King Felishika called for the help of the Holy Spirit of the Holy Land Zeliard . Using magic crystals called Tears of Esmesanti, he imprisoned a demon deep underground [1] .

After two thousand years, the demon was able to escape from captivity. He cursed the earth, turning it into a lifeless desert, and turned Princess Felicia into a stone. The spirit of the Earth Zeliard again came to the rescue, promising that soon the only warrior would be able to stop Jashin, collect all nine Esmesanti crystals and remove the curse. The next day, the king came to the knight Duke Garland ( Eng. Duke Garland ) and promised to save the kingdom [1] .

Gameplay

After starting the game, screensavers are shown that tell the plot of the game. After that, the game itself begins.

The screen shows a side view, in the center of the screen - the main character , in the background - various buildings and landscape. The player can move the character left and right, jump, squat, go into buildings or caves, talk with other people, chop the enemy with a sword in battle and use magic . The levels are divided into two types: cities (there are no enemies, there are buildings and other people, you can relax and buy goods in them) and dungeons (in which the gameplay itself takes place).

Dungeons

One level consists of several maps: a city and 2-3 caves decorated in the same style. Dungeons are not located one after another - the player will have to move between them.

Each cave is a labyrinth located in a vertical plane. At the same time, the upper end of the card coincides with the lower, and the right - with the left, that is, the cards are closed in a ring in all directions. At the end of the dungeon is the door leading to the boss's room, which must be defeated in order to get the next Tear of Esmesanti and go to the next level.

During the battle with the monsters, the hero gains experience , but you can improve the characteristics only when visiting the fortuneteller ( Eng. Sage ). A diamond falls out of the killed enemy, which in the city can be exchanged for money. Especially valuable diamonds equivalent to 10 or 100 ordinary ones can fall out of stronger monsters. Killed monsters are reborn from time to time, in addition, when switching to another card, all monsters are reborn. When the character is killed, a message appears that the spirits saved the hero at the last moment, after which he appears at the very first level near the fortuneteller's house. At the same time, gold and half of the diamonds that were with the hero disappear. To protect the knight uses a shield, but when his margin of safety comes to an end, the shield will disappear. Buying a new shield costs much more than fixing an old one.

During the exploration of the caves, you can find various items, such as keys needed to open locked doors, money, magical healing potions or parts of equipment.

Level List

There are nine human settlements in Zeliard (Muralla; Satono; Bosque; Helada; Tumba; Dorado; Llama; Pureza; Esco). Having, for the most part, Spanish names, they are presented in the form of cities and villages, which are located both underground and on its surface.

Also in the game there are 8 levels with dungeons:

  1. The Caverns (Malicia; Peligro).
  2. The Deeper Caverns (Peligro).
  3. The Forest (Madera; Riza).
  4. Ice Caverns (Escarcha; Glacial).
  5. The Graveyard (Cementar; Corroer).
  6. Caverns of Gold (Arrugia; Plata; Tesoro).
  7. The Burning Inferno (Caliente; Correr; Reaccion).
  8. Fruit Gardens (Absor; Desleal; Milagro; Falter; Final).

Buildings in cities

  • The palace . Present only at the very first level. A game begins near the palace. If you go inside, the king will give money for the journey, on subsequent visits he will be surprised that the task is still not completed.
  • Gray building with a cross on the roof. It contains the petrified daughter of the king. There is only the first level.
  • The church . When visiting a hero, heal and restore magic for free. There are at the first level, as well as at the end (in a hidden city).
  • Hotel It acts just like a church, but you have to pay.
  • The gunsmith's house . You can repair the shield in it , as well as buy a new sword or shield (while selling old). The farther from the first city, the more quality things you can buy.
  • Shop of magic . In it you can buy various magic items: potions that restore health or magic, oil, improving weapons, magic stones that wound all enemies near the hero and more.
  • Bank Allows you to exchange diamonds for money (exchange rates vary in different cities), as well as deposit money into your account or withdraw them.
  • Fortune-teller's house . Allows you to increase health and the amount of magic (if the hero has gained enough experience). Each fortuneteller, except the first, teaches the hero a new spell. In addition, only when visiting the fortuneteller can you save the game (you can download the game at any time).

Equipment

  • Swords and shields (purchased from a gunsmith)
  • Magic items
  • Plumeage (necessary for passing some places; can be found in the dungeons)
  • The keys
  • Shoes / Cape. The game has four types of shoes that allow you to move on ice without slipping, walk on aggressive environments (acid, fire, spikes), move on an inclined plane up and up to jump, as well as an asbestos cloak that protects against heat. Only one of these items can be worn at a time.
