Biography
Born November 23, 1871 in Beregomet (now Chernivtsi region ) in the family of a German colonist. Mother is Ukrainian. He graduated from the Vienna Cadet School and the Vienna Higher Officer School. During the First World War - commander of a kuren (battalion) of the 58th Stanislavovsky and 55th Berezhansky regiment on the Russian and Italian fronts. Lieutenant Colonel of the Imperial and Royal Army of Austria-Hungary .
Since December 1918, in the Galician army, the commander of the battle group "Hirev", 8th Sambir brigade, 3rd Galician corps on the Polish front. In 1919 - commander of an army group in the Kiev offensive operation. In the fall of 1919 - commander of the 3rd Corps on the Bolshevik and Denikin fronts. Coronet General.
In 1920 - the commander of the CHUA brigade, joined the UPR Army, the commander of the group, which in August 1920 made its way to Czechoslovakia , stayed in the camps of the UGA interned units in Liberec .
Since 1924, in Vienna, an activist of veteran societies of the UGA, author of memoirs. In 1941 - member of the Ukrainian General Council of Combatants.
He died on November 13, 1945 in Vienna.
