Dukelsky pass ( Duklinsky pass , Slovak. Dukliansky priesmyk , Polish. Przełęcz Dukielska ; razg. Dukla , Slovak., Polish. Dukla ) - pass on the Polish - Slovak border, 502 meters above sea level in the northern part of Laborecka Vrškvina in Nizki Lowes . The Duklja - ляwidnik road passes through the pass - one of the oldest trade routes from Poland to Hungary .

On June 3 ( 15 ), 1849 , the Russian army passed under the command of Paskevich to pass through the suppression of the revolution in Hungary through the Dukelsky pass.
In the area of the pass, Kornilov, Lavr Georgievich, was captured in Hungarian in 1915 .
In September-October 1944, the pass during the Carpathian-Duklinsk operation (part of the East Carpathian operation ) was stormed by the Red Army , which went to the aid of the Slovak popular uprising .
The pass served as the ethnographic border between the East Slavic groups of Lemkos and Boykov (prior to the deportation of Lemkos to western Poland ).
