Origin of title
The old name of Kolomna, which appeared at the turn of the XVIII-XIX centuries, related to the fact that before the construction of the aqueduct in 1902, water carriers carried horses on horses along the lane from the Moskva River and sold to wealthy citizens.
History
The lane emerged in the first half of the XVII century as a result of the building of Posad. During the reconstruction of the city according to the “regular” plan, the lane configuration was practically not changed. The architectural appearance of the alley determines the low-rise historical buildings.
