Type 62 (factory designation WZ-131 ) is a 1960s Chinese light tank , a lightweight version of the Soviet T-54 . Serially produced from 1963 to 1989 , the total release was about 1200 copies. The tank was actively supplied to many countries and took part in the Ugandan-Tanzanian war and the 1979 Sino-Vietnamese war .
