Spanish Marines

The Spanish Marines ( Spanish: Infantería de Marina ) - the oldest in the world. It was formed on February 27, 1537 during the reign of Charles I , when he attributed the Neapolitan old sea companies ( Spanish Compañías Viejas del Mar de Nápoles ) to the Mediterranean galley squadrons ( Spanish Escuadras de Galeras del Mediterráneo ).
