Kubensky - a princely family , a branch of the princes of Yaroslavl . The genus is included in the Velvet Book [1] .
Dmitry Vasilyevich, Prince Zaozersky , had a son, Semyon, from his marriage with a certain Maria, who received Kubena or Kuben, that is, the southeastern part of Kubensky Lake with the Kuben River region, behind his wife, daughter of Prince Ivan Dmitrievich Day, grandson of Roman Vasilyevich , Prince Romanovsky, “And the great prince [ Vasily the Dark ] took Kubena from him,” since his sister Sophia was married to rebel prince Dmitry Yuryevich Shemyaka . Children (Ivan Bolshoi and Ivan Shalukha) and grandchildren of Semyon Dmitrievich were no longer princes .
Ivan the Great under Ivan III was in prisoners ; in 1500 sent an embassy to the Crimean Khan . He was married to the daughter of Andrei Vasilyevich , Prince of Uglich.
Ivan Ivanovich was close to the Grand Duke of Moscow Vasily ; in 1546 he was executed on a false denunciation of incitement to revolt of the Novgorod pishchikov .
Mikhail Ivanovich , a deceased, then a boyar, went in a large regiment against the Crimean khan Safa Girey . He died in 1550.
