Creativity
Karasev has been writing poetry and prose since 1987 , and has been published since 1993 . The Bolshevik of the Caucasus newspaper first published his poem "Grit".
In 1996 , at the seminar of young writers of the Kuban, his story “Vyrya” was positively noted by the writer Viktor Likhonosov [5] .
In 1998 , on the recommendation of a writing organization, he was awarded a scholarship from the administration of the Krasnodar Territory, established for gifted young authors [6] . A year later, two of his books were published - Vyrya and the poetry collection Circle of the Earth, which included author translations of poems by the Belarusian poet M. Bogdanovich . In 2001 , in conjunction with the Kirlian Heritage public organization, held the first scientific and practical conference among students “First Steps into Science” in Krasnodar. [7] In 2003, the book "Vyrya" was awarded a special diploma by the Governor of the Krasnodar Territory Alexander Tkachev "For high achievements in the field of fiction" [8] . In the same year, an exhibition of graphics by Ivan Karasev [9] was held in the Krasnodar Exhibition Hall (he himself illustrates his books).
A number of scientific and journalistic works by Ivan Karasev were published - “A Philosophical View of the Evolution of Environmental Ideas”, “Alphabet as a Mirror of Human Civilization”, “Fonts in Civilian Clothes and Letters in Bast Shoes”. The fantastic collection “The Pleroma, or the Beheading of the Sphere”, the new collection of poems “The Gospel of the Darkness” is preparing for publication.
He is fond of ethnolinguistics , mythology and grammarology. The compilation of the encyclopedia “All the Writings of the World” is nearing completion. He is the author of the planned language Arachau [10] [11] [12] [13] (since December 2009 a literary journal in this language “ Asa ” / “Knowledge” [14] [15] has been published). Two of his other projects on linguistic design are the palindromic language Sunilinus [16] and the language of the phonetic minimum Alpte . In 2008, Ivan Karasev submitted an application to the Guinness Book of Records , which is already registered in the Publishing House Agency PARI as “An Artificial Language with the Smallest Number of Letters in the Alphabet” (reg. No. 12.119) [17] [18] .
On June 12, 2014, a 3-minute social report was published on Russian Public Television about Ivan Karasev, as the inventor of the Arachau language and the publisher of the Asa (Knowledge) magazine in this artificial language . [nineteen]
Criticism
An extremely mixed reaction of critics was caused by the story of Ivan Karasev "Inhabitants of oak bark, or the Carling Family". The head of the AUCPB, Nina Andreeva, saw in it a metaphor for Russian post-reform reality. What is the evidence of her representative in Krasnodar, secretary of the regional committee of the AUCPB Viktor Fedunov [20]
"What is it? Rehabilitation of the ugly? He wrote. “ The chanting of the base, the ugly?” Hardly! Rather, it is a rethinking of the relationship between the beautiful and the ugly, which is often not fixed by us or seen in some half-tones. ”
Colleagues in the writing workshop perceived the story as an evil satire on the union of writers [21] . This is evidenced by a discussion among writers. Here is the opinion of the writer Tatyana Sokolova:
“He (Karasev) thinks that the world of reptiles is interesting, but to introduce such characters as toads, lizards, spiders into fairy tales means even more confusing the meaning of our difficult life ... He only praises, delights his refined hearing with the vision of swamps and other evil spirits, living in it ... The poet’s lines are saturated with blood and murder. "
Victor Rotov did not agree with his colleague [22] :
“As for some of the“ cruel scenes ”in“ Successful Operation ”, they should not be taken, straightforwardly. Cutting off the head, chopping it into pieces and letting blood out is not a crazy killing of a person, fun for the sake of it, but the process of a surgical operation, which is considered in the context of a sham ritual of initiation into shamans (remember chopping Ivan Tsarevich with a snake into 12 parts, as well as bathing in boiling water boiler). Splicing parts of a chopped body through “living water”. In general, the image of a doctor who cuts the body and holds a bloodied heart in his hands echoes the image of a shaman-healer-prophet (compare the poem by A. Pushkin “The Prophet”). ”
In 2016, I. Karasev took part in the all-Russian literary project “Aftermath”. [23] This is a collective collection of more than 20 authors who offered their variations on the theme of folk tales. Literary critic, Doctor of Philology, Professor of Tambov State University. G. R. Derzhavina, Elena Boroda, believes that Karasev’s miniature “Lisa with a rolling pin” (a revision of the fairy tale “ Fox with a rolling pin ”) included in this book “critically interprets the category of childhood, casting doubt on the postulate of childhood as a period of innocence”. [24]
“Karasev’s text cannot be evaluated guided by familiar literary canons,” notes E. Boroda. –Because mythology lives and breathes here ... If we turn to other texts of Karasev (“Vyrya”, “Kind and Angry”, “The Sorcerer's Apprentice”) [25] , then they have the same soil. The author intentionally departs from the established principles of realism and from the linearly motive structure of the tale, delving into the illogical, archetypal space of myth. The rolling pin acts as a kind of sacred object, the key with which the chronotope unfolds, revealing new dimensions of measurement and new meanings. And retribution is embodied in the image of a dog. The ancient world does not yet know the mercy inherent in religion. Therefore, retaliation is inevitable. Lisa in dog's clothing overtaking the old fox - Lisa in human form, clutching a piece of fox hair in dirty fingers, - Lisa in the form of a fox. This is not a game or a mystery. This is a personified acceptance of the world in its integrity. And the process will never end, because time is not stretched out in a line, but closes in a solar circle, so that "tomorrow stumbles about yesterday." It is impossible to determine who held the unchangeable rolling pin at the beginning: a little fox in his hands or a little fox in his paws . "
