Biography
The son of a merchant, an honorary citizen . He graduated from the Moscow Practical Academy of Commercial Sciences .
Works
He published about twenty books of various genres (household and historical novels and stories, fairy tales, essays of religious and historical content):
- "Condemned", the story (M., 1835)
- " Yuri , the last great Prince of Smolensk." Russian profit of summer 1406 (M., 1840)
- "Memorable graves in the Moscow Vysokopetrovsky Monastery" (Moscow, 1841)
- "The Life of John the Baptist" (passed 6 editions from 1842 to 1858)
- "The legend about how a soldier saved Peter the Great from death" (5 editions survived from 1843 to 1859)
- “The terrible adventure of the retired soldier Arkhip Sergeich. Old Russian legend "(4 editions - in 1844, 1862, 1881 and 1897)
- "Essay on the life and literary works of N. A. Polevoi" (M., 1849)
- "History of the Cross, on which Jesus Christ was crucified " (4 editions from 1850 to 1855)
- “Why did a man get married”, novel (M., 1851 and 1853)
- "Love yourself" (2 editions)
- "The Legend of the Erection of the Cross of the Lord" (M., 1855)
- "Symphony" , a novel in 2 parts (Moscow, 1855, 1862 and in the "Library of the novels", ed. N. Ulitina, issue 8-11)
- “True love, or the same scenery in two years” (M., 1852 and in the “Library of novels”, issues 5 and 6)
- "The historical description of all the coronations of the great princes and tsars of Russia" (M., 1856)
- "The historical description of all the coronations of the Emperors and Empresses" (M., 1856)
- “The Murder of Dimitry Tsarevich in Uglich ”, the story (3 editions, in 1857 and 1863)
- "Wonderful visions that were in Moscow before the invasion of Magomet Giray " (M., 1862)
- "The story of Erofei Erofeich, the inventor of Erofeich" (M., 1863)
- "Lives of the Apostles of Christ" (2 parts, 2 editions, 1863-1864, 1869)
