The Heritage Party ( Armenian Ժառանգություն , Žaṙangutʿyun) is a political party in Armenia with a liberal economic course and a democratic system of governance. It was founded in 2002 . He considers his establishment of a developed legal democratic state, which builds domestic and foreign policy on the basis of its national sovereign interest, as its first priority [1] .

On May 30, 2005, Raffi Hovhannisyan was elected chairman of the party by secret ballot . The remaining 8 board members were also elected by secret ballot.
In the negotiations on the issue of territories on June 3, 2009, Heritage put forward a demand for the Armenian government to abandon negotiations. The state, which assumed the obligations of the NKR security guarantor, was invited to bring the format of the negotiations in line with real rights. The statement said that the problem of territorial delimitation between Nagorno-Karabakh and Azerbaijan is the exclusive right of the legally elected leadership of the NKR, and Armenia can only help resolve the conflict [2] .
The party criticized the draft Electoral Code of the Republic of Armenia (as amended), developed as early as mid-2010 by a working group formed by the authorities without involving the opposition in the process. It is said that "we do not evaluate the reform of the Electoral Code, but as a proposal that opens up more opportunities to make it less controlled by the public and political forces and, thus, for fraud and irregularities during the election." As a result, a draft version of the Electoral Code (as amended) was developed, which includes a number of proposals by political forces and public organizations. The words of the party say: "We believe that this project is the start for the opposition to act as a united front" [3] .
Party candidate Raffi Hovhannisyan received 37% of the vote in the 2013 election and took second place.
