Sweating Regulation
The main role in the regulation of sweating is played by the sympathetic part of the autonomic nervous system. Sympathetic postganglionic neurons that innervate the sweat glands are cholinergic (unlike most postganglionic sympathetic neurons that release norepinephrine as the main neurotransmitter).
Significant loss of fluid and then reduces the volume of plasma and circulating blood , which reduces the final diastolic volume of the ventricles and systolic volume of the heart , reduces blood flow in the skin and, consequently, sweating . Minute volume does not decrease due to increasing heart rate. As a result of a decrease in the efficiency of mechanisms providing heat release from the body , the temperature of the “core” of the body increases. Thus, dehydration reduces the ability of circulatory and thermoregulation systems to compensate for heat stress during exercise .
