Asynkrit (Asigkrit, Greek. Ἀσύγκριτος ) - one of the apostles from seventy . It is mentioned once in the Epistle of the Apostle Paul to the Romans: "Salute Asyncritus, Phlegont, Hermas, Patrov, Hermias and other brothers with them" ( Rom. 16:14 ).

Ambrose Mediolansky in his thoughts on the Epistle to the Romans asks Paul: “why do you salute them together” and then answers: “for he knew (the apostle) that they were unanimous.” In Greek Menea (Sinaxar Nicodemus ), on April 8, it is said: “Like the other (previously mentioned apostles Agave and Rufus ) both Phlegont and Asigkrit preached the Gospel in different countries of the world, many unbelievers converted to the true faith, and, subjected to various torments from the Jews, died on the same day, and thus from the Lord received the kingdom of heaven. ”
The church service speaks of Asynkrit as an enlightener and bishop of Irkania: “Turn thee, Asigkrit, the river of water is filled with Irkaniy Ghost, and your honest drunk drink, prince the reddest Lord of vegetation . ” Also, church writers (starting with Dorotheus of Tire ) argue that Asyncrit was a bishop of Irkania in Asia Minor .
The memory of the Apostle Asynkrit is performed in the Orthodox Church on April 8 (21) along with the Apostles Herodion , Agave , Rufus , Phlegont and Hermas , as well as January 4 (17) on the day of the Council of the Apostles of seventy.
