Description

UAV "Bee-1M" in the Museum of Technology Vadim Zadorozhny

Start is carried out with the help of two solid-fuel boosters with a short guide placed on the tracked landing gear of the assault vehicle. Landing is performed on a parachute with a shock-absorbing inflatable bag, reducing shock overload. The P-032 two-stroke two-cylinder internal combustion engine is used as a power plant on the Bee-1 remote controller . The complex " Stroy-P " with a remote control "Bee-1T", created in 1990, OKB AS Yakovlev , designed for day and night monitoring of objects and transmitting their television or thermal imaging in real time to a ground control station. In 1997, the complex was adopted by the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation . Resource: 5 sorties. [one]

Combat use

In 1995, 5 Bee-1T vehicles were used in Chechnya , which performed 10 flights, including 8 combat ones. The total raid of the devices was 7 hours and 25 minutes. The maximum distance of the apparatus from the ground control station reached 55 km, the flight altitude was between 600 and 2,200 m. During the tests, two "Bees" were shot down by Chechen militants who managed to organize a dense barrage of small arms and anti-aircraft guns on the RPV flight route. .
