Pleiston (from the Greek. Plēusis - “swimming”, plēō - “swim”) - plant or animal organisms that live on the surface of the water, or semi-submerged in water (that is, living simultaneously in the aquatic and air environment).
Twirling beetles retain the surface tension forces of water on the surface [1] .
