John MacDonald “Jack” Coleman ( born John MacDonald “Jack” Coleman ; born February 21, 1958, Easton, PA , USA) is an American actor and screenwriter, famous for the roles of Noah Bennett in the science fiction series “ Heroes ” and Stephen Carrington in soap opera " Dynasty " [1] .

Early life

Jack Coleman was born February 21, 1958 [2] in Easton, Pennsylvania , USA . He is the great-grandson of Benjamin Franklin in the sixth generation [1] . He attended Solebury School and Duke University , where he decided to make acting his profession. And after graduating from the university in 1980, he entered the National Theater Institute .

Career

Coleman's first major role was the appearance in four episodes of the series " Days of Our Lives " in 1981. In 1983, he joined the cast of the soap opera Dynasty , where for five years he played the role of Stephen Carrington, the youngest son of the head of the Carrington family, until he left the series in 1988.

Coleman starred in many different guest series. In 2004, he was busy filming the series Royal Hospital , where he played the comatose patient Peter Rickman. In 2006 he was invited to the series " Heroes " for one of the main roles of Noah Bennett. In 2011, he appeared in the series The Vampire Diaries , where he played the role of Billy Forbes, Caroline's father. In 2012, he appeared in the 5th season of the Castle television series as William Breaken, a senator directly involved in the murder of Kate Beckett’s mother.

In 2013, Shonda Rimes took Coleman in the third season of her series “ Scandal ” [3] .

Personal life

In 1996, he married actress Beth Tussen , and in 1999 they had a daughter, Tess.
