Ulyanovsk Hippodrome

FGU SLC "Ulyanovskaya" with a racetrack (Ulyanovsk racetrack) is located in the north of the Leninsky district of Ulyanovsk .

On the territory of the hippodrome , an area of ​​35 hectares, there are treadmills, industrial and livestock buildings, a residential village.

The horses are kept in 11 stables: 190 stalls 3 × 3 m in size, 40 stalls 4 × 4 m in size, a total of 230 stalls. One stable is occupied by equestrian school. All stables are electrified. In each stable there is a water supply system, household premises for personnel and equipment, an arena . There are two mechanical carriers. The floors in the stalls are asphalt, the litter is sawdust.

Each stables has a levada of 40 × 40 m in size. 18 horses are assigned to the training department; they are served by a horseman- foreman, an assistant to the horseman, and two grooms.

At the Ulyanovsk Hippodrome, tests are carried out on black earth tracks.

The first prize track is 1,600 meters long and 15 meters wide. The second track, 1,045 meters long and 14 meters wide, is used for both prize and trot work.

The third track, 800 m long and 10 m wide, is used for step work and harnessing horses.

The first and second tracks are marked with signs in equal lengths over large quarters - 400 m. Due to the proximity of groundwater, treadmills in spring come to a normal state for a long time, as a result, the opening of the summer running season is delayed to the end of May.

The hippodrome has 35 staff. Director - Natalia Kanakova.

During the summer running season of 2008, 24 running days were spent and 35 trotting prizes and 7 race prizes were played.
