The best sniper is the hockey prize, established in 2000 by the Sovetsky Sport newspaper for the hockey player who scored the most goals against his opponents in matches of the Russian championship , including playoff games. Since 2009, it has been awarded to the player who has scored the most goals in the KHL regular season.

Prize Regulations
- The prize for the “Best Sniper” is established by the editors of the newspaper “Soviet Sport”.
- Prize to the “Best Sniper” - a commemorative prize that is awarded to a player of the Super League team who scored the greatest number of goals against opponents in the matches of the regular Championship of Russia, including the playoffs.
- In case of equality of goals, the Prize is awarded to a player who:
- played fewer matches of the Russian Championship, including playoff games;
- scored more goals in the playoff matches;
- made more assists in the masts of the Championship of Russia, including the playoffs;
- scored less penalty minutes.
- in case of equality of all these indicators, the winner of the Prize becomes the player of the team that took the highest place in the Championship, and if the applicants for the Prize are representatives of one team, then the prize is awarded to both (or all of them).
- The prize is awarded annually at a ceremony dedicated to summing up the hockey season by representatives of the newspaper Sovetsky Sport.
- The laureate is awarded a commemorative prize transferred to him for permanent storage.
- The use of the Prize, its name, image in advertising and other commercial activities is possible after the conclusion of the relevant agreement with the editorial board of the newspaper "Soviet Sport".
- Changes and additions to these Regulations are made by the editors of the newspaper "Soviet Sport" on the proposal of the Professional Hockey League.
