Teterev ( Ukrainian: Teteriv ) - a river in Ukraine , the right tributary of the Dnieper , flows into the Kiev reservoir . The length is 365 km, the basin area is 15 100 km² [1] . The average water flow rate is 18.4 m³ / s.

Tributaries - Ore , Rotten Mountains (90 km), Guiva , Zdvizh , Lesnaya Kamenka , Miroch , Ibr , Irsha (128 km), Zdvizh (145 km), Sheika , Grouse , Tal , Myka . The channels of many tributaries are blocked by dams, resulting in the formation of multiple reservoirs and ponds .
Until Radomyshl, the Teterev flow is fast, in some places there are rifts and small waterfalls. In the lower part, the river becomes calmer.
Mineralization of water Grouse in the area of the city of Zhytomyr on average is: spring flood - 316 mg / dm³; summer-autumn low water - 459 mg / dm³; winter low water - 522 mg / dm³. [2]
The lower reaches of the Teterev are navigable, and there is also a hydroelectric station .
Parthenogenetic Armenian lizards , introduced for scientific purposes in 1967, live in the rocky canyon of the river in the Zhytomyr Region [3] .
