World Youth Day (WFDW)

The holiday was established in 1945, about two months after the end of World War II . The date of the celebration of World Youth Day is dedicated to the day of the end of the World Youth Conference , which was held from October 29 - November 10 in the capital of England , London . The end day of the conference was significant, primarily because it is considered the founding day of the World Federation of Democratic Youth (WFDW) , which proclaimed its goal “ rallying various youth organizations in the fight against imperialism and reaction, for peace, democracy, national independence, in defense of political , social and economic rights and interests of youth . The period after the collapse of the USSR
