Geography
District Hütteldorf is located in the center of the district of Penzing. It covers an area of 635.47 ha, of which 20 ha lie behind the Vienna River in the 13th district.
History
Hütteldorf was founded in the XI century and was first mentioned in 1170 as Utendorf ( Utendorf ) - the name comes from the noble family Utendorfer ( Utendorfer ).
In 1356, Hütteldorf became an independent parish. In 1599, his factory of the same name received a license for the production of beer with the name "Hütteldorfer". Vineyards also grew here. For a long time, the development of Hütteldorf was delayed by the Turkish wars and the outbreak of the plague.
In 1891, Hütteldorf was included in the 13th district of Vienna - Hitzing . After the Anschluss of Austria in 1938, he was included in the created 14th district of Vienna.
