Secogram ( fr. Cécogramme , from Latin caecus - blind and other Greek. Γράμμα - record) - a postal item written in a secographic way (that is, having a relief font, for example, Braille ) and submitted for shipment in clear text, with an attachment designed exclusively for the blind .
Description
Secograms are divided into simple and custom .
For shipment in the form of a secogram are accepted:
- written communications and publications written in a secographic manner;
- cliche with signs of secography;
- sound recordings sent by the organization to the blind or addressed to such an organization, special paper, and printing equipment.
Russian Post delivers free domestic and international secograms forwarded by land, according to the "Rules for the provision of postal services," approved by Decree of the Government of the Russian Federation No. 221 of April 15, 2005 . The postal agencies of most other countries also provide free delivery of such items (excluding additional airfares), as prescribed by the Universal Postal Convention adopted in Seoul on September 14, 1994 .
The requirements for the packaging in terms of packaging and processing are the same as for the parcels . The maximum weight of the secogram accepted for shipment is 7 kg , the minimum size is at least 105 × 148 mm , the maximum size must satisfy the following conditions: the sum of the length, width and thickness is not more than 0.9 m , and the largest measurement is 0.6 m .
