History
- August 6, 1726 - a von Lukiev regiment was formed in the Lower Corps , consisting of 1 grenadier regiment (received from the Zykov infantry regiment) and 7 fuselier companies.
- From August 15, 1731 - Adzherutsky Infantry Regiment .
- From November 30, 1732 - Navaginsky Infantry Regiment .
- January 27, 1747 - the 3rd battalion was formed.
- March 13, 1762 - reorganized into 2 battalions of 1 grenadier and 5 musketeer companies in each.
- November 13, 1769 - a jaeger team was formed.
- May 26, 1777 - the jaeger team was expelled to form jaeger battalions.
- August 29, 1790 - a battalion of the Tenginsky infantry regiment was attached to the Navaginsky infantry regiment, a new St. Petersburg grenadier regiment of 4 battalions of 4 company composition was formed.
- November 29, 1796 - reorganized into two five-armed battalions and two outbuildings.
- From October 31, 1798 - Musketeer Major General Golitsyn Regiment .
- From March 24, 1800 - Grenadier Major General of Prince Volkonsky Regiment .
- Since May 3, 1800 - Grenadier Major General Safonov regiment .
- From January 2, 1801 - Grenadier Lieutenant General Saken Regiment .

- April 30, 1802 - the regiment was reorganized into 3 battalions.
- May 16, 1803 - one company was expelled to form the Koporsky musketeer regiment, a new one was formed in its place.
- Since October 7, 1814 - Grenadier of His Majesty the King of Prussia Regiment .
- August 12, 1817 - the 2nd battalion of the regiment was assigned to Novgorod in the district of military settlements, and the 1st and 3rd battalions were called active.
- January 1821 - the 1st battalion in full force (13 officers, 636 lower ranks) was transferred to the Life Guards Semyonovsky Regiment. Instead, a new battalion was formed.
- February 27, 1824 - the 2nd settled battalion was named the 3rd battalion, and the 3rd active battalion - the 2nd active.
- October 22, 1831 - the regiment was ordered to be a part of the Separate Guards Corps as part of the 6th Brigade.
- November 8, 1831 - The district of military settlements is separated from the regiment.
- From May 26, 1840 - the Grenadier of King Friedrich-William III Regiment .
- January 25, 1842 - the 4th battalion was formed from the unlimited leave lower ranks for the compilation of reserve troops.
- August 26, 1856 - reorganized into 3 battalions of 3 rifle companies in each.
- Since March 19, 1857 - St. Petersburg Grenadier King Frederick William III Regiment .
- Since December 6, 1894 - the Life Guards St. Petersburg King Friedrich-William III Regiment . Rights granted to the Old Guard.
- July 18, 1914 - a reserve battalion was formed in connection with the mobilization of the regiment.
- Since July 26, 1914 - the Life Guards St. Petersburg Regiment .
- Since August 24, 1914 - the Life Guards Petrograd Regiment .
- In 1917, the Petrograd Regiment was renamed the Guard .
- May 9, 1917 - a reserve battalion deployed in the Guard Petrograd Reserve Regiment.
- February 28, 1918 - the current regiment was disbanded.
- April 29, 1918 - the reserve regiment was disbanded.
In the summer of 1919 he had 2 companies in the 2nd battalion of the 2nd Consolidated Guards Regiment, on September 16, 1919 a battalion was formed in the Consolidated Regiment of the 3rd Guards Infantry Division (the two companies operated separately). In the Russian army since August 1920 he was a company in the 3rd battalion of the Consolidated Guards Infantry Regiment. Regimental association in exile - "The main association of the L.-G. Petrograd Regiment β(Belgrade, then Paris), which in 1951 totaled 19 people.

- Regimental St. George banners with Alexander jubilee ribbons and the inscription: "For the difference in the Turkish War of 1877 and 1878." Complained by the Highest Order on April 17, 1878.
- Patronage ribbons for banners granted by: Emperor Wilhelm I - June 2, 1874 and August 6, 1878; Emperor Wilhelm II - April 21, 1897 in memory of the 25th anniversary of his inclusion in the regiment.
- Signs on hats with the inscription: "For distinction." Awarded on August 19, 1815 for feats in the campaigns of 1812-1814.
- The march, composed by the chief of the regiment, King Frederick William III. Awarded in March 1835. It was performed at the meeting of banners and superiors as a βregimental honorβ.
