Story

The once-successful capital businessman Gregory of Krizhevsky was on the verge of collapse - the accriditors placed enormous debts on him. Gregory is not able to pay for the obligations and decides to seek help from his father - a well-known collector, art historian and connoisseur of antiquity Anatoly Kryzhevsky. Together with his wife Elena and son Dmitry, he comes to the Crimean town, where he spent his teenage years. But the father and son had the old abacus - seven years ago, Gregory stole from the father's collection an invaluable picture by M. Vrubel “The Demon”, which, as it turned out, turned out to be nothing more than a clever fake. The enraged father demands the return of the picture and denies his son of material assistance. Father and son instead of reconciliation finally quarreled; enraged Gregory leaves his father's house - a chic old mansion - and with his family moved to a hotel by the sea. That same evening, Krizhevsky Sr. dies under very mysterious circumstances.

At the same time developing another storyline. Renowned middleweight boxer Ivan Kruglov brilliantly defeats rival Carlos Mondegu in the last and final competition for the title of world champion. However, according to medical examinations, a doping drug prohibited by the World Sports League is found in the athlete’s blood. Five minutes to champion I. Kruglov disgraced in disgrace. In complete disarray and despair, Ivan abandons his career and leaves Moscow. He hastily packed his things, on the same day he flies the same flight as the Krizhevsky family to Simferopol.

At the airport, there is a fleeting meeting between Elena Krizhevskaya and Ivan Kruglov, which is destined to turn into a tumultuous romance.

The former coach of Ivan, who replaced his father (a boy of ten years old lost his parents and was brought up in a boarding school), Petr Petrovich Kochubey joyfully meets his pupil and his son. Kochubey believes that his beloved Vanya, who became a world celebrity, did not accept prohibited doppings, and even Ivan himself claims that he was imperceptibly poured into a glass — someone was very interested in discrediting Kruglov.

Gregory Krizhevsky, together with his wife Elena and the son of his first marriage, Mitya, now live in a seaside hotel, having rented a luxurious suite. A hostess relative of the hostess works at the hotel - a pretty, frivolous and at the same time practical and calculating girl, a certain Vera Belinitskaya, who “puts an eye” on a prominent, respectable guest. A young "whirligig", as her aunt calls her - the hostess of the hotel Evelina Lvovna, turned her head to a mature, married man. Arrogant Faith does not doubt success.

Gregory leaves the family, leaving his son in the care of his stepmother (who loves him as his own son) and the housekeeper. Enchanted Krizhevsky together with Vera goes to Moscow. Her dream came true - she became the mistress of a Moscow businessman. Young, naive, despite sober practicality, the provincial thirsts for an easy, carefree life, but disappointment awaits her: Gregory is practically ruined.

As a compensation, Elena gets an old mansion, which Krizhevsky inherited from her father. According to legend, it hid the treasures of the Scythians , found by an archaeological expedition, in which Father Gregory and father of lawyer Ivolgin, who was leading the case of inheritance, participated. The lawyer Ivolgin himself intends to seize these treasures by himself by any means, because of the treachery and denunciation of Father Gregory - Ivolgin's father spent most of his life in the zones and camps, which put an unfavorable shade on the life and reputation of the Ivolgin family. Ivolgin, working as an attorney for Krizhevsky, begins his secret, criminal game with the ultimate goal of becoming the owner of the mansion. In the course of the series, the circle of people who are drawn into criminal provocations with the mansion increases, which has a significant impact on the further fate of Krizhevsky and many other characters of the series ...

Now Helen is facing hardships - to survive a divorce, her husband’s attempt to save her during pregnancy from the child, the abduction of her beloved stepson and to face many other dangers that the old mansion conceals in itself, before the family of Kryzhevsky’s nest ...
