- For rejuvenation, see rejuvenation
Demographic rejuvenation is the process of rejuvenation of a population, occurring due to an increase in the share of children or young people in the total population. This phenomenon occurs, in particular, with an increase in the birth rate and a reduction in infant and child mortality . In addition, the term “juvenile” is used in relation to phenomena in those cases when the average age of the people involved in these phenomena is reduced (for example: juvenile suicide, juvenile alcoholism, etc.). In some cases, demographic rejuvenation may be the result of intensive immigration of young people to a particular region.
Russian juvenologists sometimes use the term “juvenile” or “ juvenile ”.
