Spancirfest ( Croatian Špancirfest ) is a festival of street performers held annually in early autumn in Varazdin in Croatia . The name in Croatian means “street festival”. The name comes from the German language: spazieren - for a walk, Fest - a festival.
For 10 days, the entire city center becomes the stage for performances by street performers from many countries. Jugglers, singers, clowns, comedy, puppet troupes, musicians come here. The festival is usually divided into several semantic groups:
- street entertainment: street musicians, jugglers, acrobats, magicians
- music concerts for serious music lovers
- children's theater performances
- theater performances for adults
At the same time, an exhibition and sale of folk crafts (honey, lace, woodwork, wine), a display of old crafts , and pastries for old recipes are being sold on the streets of the city.
