The early years
Dmitry was born on November 20, 1979 in Moscow . His parents, Oleg Sergeyevich and Larisa Vladimirovna were professional volleyball players , masters of sports of international class . Bulykin in childhood was engaged in volleyball, swimming , football and chess, has the first youth rank [5] .
Club career
In 1986, at the age of seven, he began playing sports at the Lokomotiv football school in Moscow. His first coach was Viktor Aleksandrovich Kharitonov. Four years later, together with the team and coach, he moved to the SDSSUSHOR “Labor Reserves”. In 1994, as part of this team, he won the Russian Cup among junior teams. In 1995-1996 he played in the Sports School of CSKA with Evgeny Lobokov. In 1994, he was invited to the Moscow national team, and in its composition he won the Russian championship among youths [2] .
Lokomotiv (Moscow)
From 1995 to 1997, he played in the Third League for Lokomotiv-d. At the end of 1996, Yuri Semin invited him to the backup staff of the "railway" [2] .
His debut for Lokomotiv took place on April 15, 1997. In the match of the 1/8 finals of the Cup of Russia against UralAZ , he came on as a substitute in the 74th minute instead of Zaza Janashia [6] . He made his debut in the High Division on May 9, 1998 in a match against the Novorossiysk “ Chernomorets ”, replacing him in the 75th minute instead of Oleg Garas [7] . The first goal was scored in the same year, on July 1, hitting the gates of Baltika in the away match [8] . In total that season he played 14 matches and scored 3 goals. Lokomotiv finished the championship in third place.
In addition, Dmitry performed in European competitions. In the 1/16 finals of the Cup Cup , in a match against CSKA Kiev , Bulykin took a double [9] . And in 1/8, he also scored two goals for Sporting [10] .

After the expiration of the contract with the club, Bulykin became a free agent . He had options to leave for Sampdoria or St. Gallen , but in the end he decided to stay in Russia and signed a contract with Dynamo [12] .
Dynamo Moscow
In “Dynamo” Bulykin began to play under the leadership of Valery Gazzayev . In 2003, under Victor Prokopenko, he became the team's top scorer and was awarded an invitation to the national team .
After that, I wanted to leave to play in a European club, going into conflict with the club management. In August 2005, Dynamo was put up for transfer at a high price, but no one bought it [13] .
In 2006, a new coach Yuri Semin came to Dynamo, and Bulykin signed a new contract for two years and remained at Dynamo. Six months later, Semin was fired, and Dmitry was again put up for transfer. Fans during this time had the opinion that the football player prefers social life to sports. Dmitry himself believes that the club that refuses his services on the field and refuses to sell the player to other clubs is to blame for his “crisis”.
In June 2007, Bulykin was interested in one of the German Bundesliga clubs. They hoped to get the player as a free agent, but he stated that Dynamo would not let him go. The club’s management said that they had long been ready to let Dmitry go for free, and he himself didn’t want to leave [14] .

In the first match for the new club Dmitry was injured. On August 3, in the first round match of the German Cup with Hamburg , Bulykin received a fracture of the fifth metatarsal bone . On September 20, 2013, Nizhny Novgorod Volga signed a contract with Bulykin under the 1 + 1 scheme [37] . He rarely left the starting lineup, did not score a single goal, and the club delayed his salary [38] . June 5, 2014 Bulykin left the Volga [39] . And on June 6, 2014, he received a category A coaching license [40] , as he had previously stated that he would like to train Dynamo in the future [41] . However, the player did not consider the option of ending his career - he wanted to continue playing in Russia [42] or in the Netherlands [43] , but the limit on legionnaires prevented his return to the Dutch championship [44] .
