Personal life

Mika Hakkinen was born on September 28, 1968 in the city of Vantaa in the family of a short-wave radio operator and taxi driver Harri and secretary Aila Hakkinen. He has a sister, Nina. [1]

Mika has been living in Monte Carlo since 1991, although he also has homes in Finland and France . On May 18, 2008, a fire broke out in his French estate due to a short circuit. Fortunately, at that moment no one was in the house, but Mika's home turtle died in the fire, and some of his trophies earned by him during his career were also burnt down [2] .

In 1998, Hakkinen married Erja Honkanen . On December 11, 2000, their son Hugo Ronan was born, and on May 12, 2005, their daughter Aina Julia was born. In 2008, the couple announced a divorce. [3] On November 30, 2010, Mika and his girlfriend, Markéta Remešová, had a daughter, Ella [4] .
