Andersen, Larisa Nikolaevna

Born in Khabarovsk in the family of Russian officer Nikolai Mikhailovich Aderson. At the end of 1920, they moved to Vladivostok , where they lived on Russky Island . ^[3]

In October 1922, she and her family went into exile with Vladivostok. The family settled in Harbin , where Larissa graduated from high school. From a young age she was fond of poetry and ballet. She began her literary activity under the auspices of the circle of young writers " Churaevka ". The first poems published in the Harbin magazine "HSML" (1928. № 1). In the same year, her poems were printed in several issues of the Frontier.

In the late 1920s, she decided to change her last name to a more harmonious and artistic name - Andersen - in honor of the storyteller Hans Christian Andersen . ^[one]

In the early 1930s, Andersen moved to Shanghai , where she published a collection of her poems, "On Earth Meadows" (1940).

In 1956, she married Maurice Sheza (Chaize), an employee of the French maritime company Messageries Maritim, and spent many years in different countries to which her husband was sent, including in India, Africa, Vietnam, and Tahiti. From 1971 she settled in France, where she lived in the town of Issanjo (Auvergne). After leaving China, she almost didn’t do any literary work.

She died in a hospital in the town of Le Puy-en-Velay (25 kilometers from Issanjo).

Alexander Vertinsky called poetry Andersen “God's Grace talent”. Larissa was acquainted with Svyatoslav Roerich , Vsevolod Ivanov , Arseny Nesmelov , Irina Odoevtseva . Around her always reigned the atmosphere of admiration and love. White Yablonka, Djokond, Solveig, Gorniy Angel, Sad Flower - these are just an incomplete list of names that Larissa’s contemporaries called: Alexey Achair , Georgy Granin , Valery Pereleshin , Nikolai Pererets , Alexander Vertinsky. Memories of Valery Pereleshin, Viktor Petrov, Vera Serebryakova, Justina Kruzenshtern-Perets , Natalya Ilyina , Elena Taskina, Vladimir Slobodchikov and other Harbin residents left her memories.

In 1946 a collection of the Shanghai Ostrov group was published; according to one of the versions, its name was invented by Larissa Andersen. The collection includes several of her poems "on given topics." Unlike other Far Eastern immigrants, she wrote almost nothing about China , Siberia , and the Far East . Her element was pure lyrics, inner world, emotional experiences, emotions, "life of the heart." Even the main note of emigre poetry - nostalgia for Russia, is barely audible in her poetry. Already in the early lyrics, Andersen sounded a melody of tender melancholy, later preserved in all her work. “They say that if you wait and believe / You will achieve ... Here, and I waited” (“Apple tree in bloom”) or: “Today is such a sick day, / Such a sad, gloomy, frail ...” (“Memory of spring”).

In 1986, in the USA, E. Stein published a book of poems recorded in an album donated to Larissa Nikolaevna by her fellow poets, Larissa Island (village Orange, Connecticut ). Russian readers first became acquainted with Andersen's poetry in a collection of prose and poetry of Far Eastern emigration: “Harbin: A Branch of a Russian Tree” (Novosibirsk, 1991) ^[4] . In 2006, the most comprehensive collection of her poems, memoirs, and letters “One on the bridge” was published in Russia.
