Story

Randy Marsh comes to the doctor , worried that he has not defecated for three weeks. The doctor gives him a powerful laxative and warns that the bowel movement will be extremely painful. In the evening, Randy suffers and suffers on the toilet , as a result, he finally manages to "free himself". Getting up from the toilet, Randy is shocked to notice that a piece of shit turned out to be just gigantic.

He shows this to the indignant Sharon , astonished Stan and frightened Shelley , and then Jimbo . When he and Jimbo talk about it at the bar, Randy brings the whole company home. Stunned friends offer Randy to call the representatives of the Guinness Book of Records , from where he is redirected to the "European Office for Standardization and Measurement of Feces" in Zurich .

Bono with glasses and a hat - it is in this form that he is depicted in the episode

Examining Randy's shit, the center’s representatives conclude that it surpasses the previous world record and are going to give him a special award. They measure the mass of shit in “chickens” (derived from the journalist Katie Kurik ) - “Katie Kurik alone corresponds to about two and a half pounds of excrement,” and Randy reaches a mass of 8.6 chicken.

They call the previous record holder, who turns out to be Bono , and report that his record (7.5 hens) is broken. He is horrified. When the president is about to give Randy an award, Bono sends a video message to the ceremony, where his new record, which exceeds Randy’s, was shot - excrement of 9.5 chicken. Thus, congratulations again go to Bono.

Upset Randy explains to Stan that giant shit was his only creation, which he was proud of. Longing, he sits in a bar with friends, and they beat him to repeat the record. With the support of his comrades, Randy again goes to the PF Chang's restaurant and begins to "grow" a new piece of feces; its mass, according to ultrasound , reaches 14 hens.

The leader of the association calls Bono, who is allegedly engaged in charity work in Africa (in fact, he simply jumps around the village and yells). The frightened Bono sets the Association a condition - Randy must make a record in front of them, in front of Zurich. Stan comes to Bono's home to try to persuade him to be second, even in this, to which he furiously declares that he wants to be the first in everything. Butler Bono asks Stan to come with him - he needs to know something.

While traveling by car, the butler tells Stan that he was alerted by the date Bono recorded his first record in 1960 . This is the year Bono was born. Thus, it turns out that Bono did not create a record piece of feces, but he himself was. When Randy sits in front of the Association and tries to set a record, Stan runs in and exposes Bono.

The leader of the Association admits that it was he who created a gigantic piece of shit and breast-fed him; however, Bono has since been endowed with complexes and wants to prove that he is the first in everything. One way or another, Bono already matches about 80 chicken and is the undisputed record holder. After these words, Randy finally defecates - his feces reach 100 hens, and the community awards him with the Emmy figurine (which immediately joyfully sticks into shit).

Reviews

The TV Squad server gave an extremely positive review for the episode. The review said: “it is bad taste, but it is bad taste of“ South Park ”, and therefore it is ridiculous,” and also that the episode “combines a typically female romantic plot with male toilet humor ” [2] . The critics of the IGN episode evoked mixed feelings - it was said that he was "funny, but no more"; there the series received a rating of 7.4 out of 10 [3] . On the site TV.com , according to a survey of visitors, the series received a rating of 8.0 [4] .

Parodies

Bono does charity work in Africa
  • The plot of the episode is a parody of the 2007 documentary “The King of Kong: A Fistful of Quarters” about two people who achieve record results in the game “ Donkey Kong ” [5] . The plot of the film is as follows: player Billy Mitchell in 1982 set a record of 847,000 points, much later another player, Steve Weebi, publicly achieved a result of 985,000. Then the first player sent a video of poor quality, where he scores 1,047,000; there was a suspicion that the record was fake, since no one had seen his game. As a result, the second player gains 1,085,000 and wins. All of these storylines are beaten in a fight by Randy and Bono for the greatest pile of crap.
  • In the episode, the ostentatious, in the opinion of many, Bono's charitable activities, as well as his narcissism noted by many, are parodied. When Bono answers the phone from Africa, he sings “Hello, hello-o!”; this is the beginning of the chorus of the song “ U2 ” “ Vertigo ”. In addition, at the end of this song, the long “Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah” sounds, which is Bono's main phrase in the episode.
  • The building of the association looks exactly like the building of the Higher Technical School in Zurich, one of the most prestigious universities in Switzerland.
  • When Bono answers the phone during a speech, this may be a reference to Rudolf Giuliani 's answer to a phone call during a speech in front of the National Rifle Association in September 2007.
  • The scene when Bono asks the leader of the Association for the words “bitty” parodies the sketch from the comedy show “ Little Britain ” called “Harvey Pincher” in which a grown man asks his mother for the word “bitty” [6] .
  • The series says that the leader of the Association is Bono's father. Real father Bono died in 2001.
  • Shortly before the start of the release of the second half of season 11, the episode of “South Park” “ Make Love, Not Warcraft ” received an “ Emmy .” Therefore, as a self-parody during the most “toilet” scenes of the series (for example, when Randy is relieved), the “Emmy” figurine “Emmy winning series” appears on the screen ( Russian. This series received an “Emmy” ). When this inscription appears in the finale, one of the members of the Association takes this figurine and sticks it in a pile of shit under Randy.

Facts

  • Before the episode was released, a teaser with an episode in which Randy showed Sharon his “achievement” [7] was posted on the official website.
  • For the European office for standardization and fecal research in Zurich, a fake website was created after the episode. It explains the term “chicken”, which measures feces, and gives the exact meaning of “real” records (according to the site, in fact, the term is written as Kurich and comes from the name of Jochen Kurik, the first record holder). A chicken, according to this page, equals 2.578 pounds or 1.169 kilograms, and the last real record is 2.6346 chicken.
  • The size and shape of Randy's first record resembles an American football ball.
  • George W. Bush and Dick Cheney are present at the awards ceremony for the largest piece of feces.
  • The series claims that Randy never received any awards in his life. However, in episode 302 he received the Nobel Prize .
  • The doctor tells Randy that he should not go to Zurich during the “turd trimester” ( Russian shit trimester ). This is a pun from the words "third trimester", that is, "third trimester" (the last stage of pregnancy ).
