Geography
It is located 138 kilometers from Samara on the Chagra River, 28 kilometers from the Chagra railway station.
History
By 1859, there were 510 yards and 3365 people in the village. It was a large trading village. By 1889, three fairs were held in Hvorostyanka for the year. In Hvorostyanka there were four churns, one water mill and 13 windmills, 5 forges.
Title
The name of the village comes from the word “brushwood”.
