Women's Aviation Regiment

Female air regiments - combat units ( regiment ) of the Air Force of the USSR and other countries, manned by women .

The USSR Air Force included female air regiments created in the fall of 1941 by order of the NCO No. 0099 of 8/10/41 [1] .

  • 586th Fighter Aviation Regiment on Yak-1
  • The 587th Bomber Aviation Regiment on Pe-2 aircraft → since 1943.
