Kauniainen or Grankulla [1] ( Fin. Kauniainen , Swede. Grankulla ) is a city in Finland , along with the cities of Helsinki , Espoo and Vantaa, which is part of the so-called metropolitan region.

The area of the city is 6 km² (of which 0.12 km² of water surface). The population in 2011 was 8,586 people (density 1,460 people / km²).
For 2012, Kauniainen is the least subsidized municipality in Finland, operating through internal self-financing. [2]
Attractions
Russian General Vladimir Frederiks is buried in the city cemetery.
