Computer support for the lesson

Computer support for the lesson is a complex of pedagogical techniques using computer technology aimed at improving the efficiency of training and facilitating the work of the teacher. Computer lesson support is one of the aspects of computerization of education .

Computer support for the lesson can be used in various training courses. In particular, in the physics lesson, “video and animation fragments, demonstrations of physical phenomena, classical experiments, technical applications” can be used with the subsequent creation by students of similar slide illustrations [1] . Of particular value in this respect is the Computer Project Environment “Living Physics” [2] , which allows visualizing a number of abstract physical concepts.

Computer support for the lesson is not limited to the application in the lesson only the computer itself. Today computer lesson support includes the use of various peripheral devices by the teacher and students: interactive whiteboards [3] , multimedia projectors, scanners, printers, graphic tablets; network equipment; software of various kinds: educational programs, including electronic laboratory works [4] and virtual museums.

In 2010, British technologist and entrepreneur Wolfram, Konrad proposed the concept of computer-aided learning in mathematics [5] in his report at the TED conference: Teaching children real math using computers

In September 2014, in the framework of the “Electronic Educational Environment” project, a training system using electronic textbooks was introduced in several Moscow schools [6] .

This project was initiated by Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin and is a pilot.

Training in electronic textbooks is conducted only in three parallels in three subjects: in 5 classes in biology, in 7 classes in history and in 8 classes in chemistry. "Electronic Educational Environment" is a single educational field in which various ideas are placed:

  • A student’s tablet is synchronized with an interactive whiteboard and can act as a voting console, textbook, interactive guide, or reference book.
  • teacher's tablet is a tool for creating a lesson, conducting it, filling in information about the educational achievements of students
  • interactive whiteboard - it allows you to display not only educational material, the results of rapid surveys or the content of students' tablets, but also makes it possible to actively simulate the processes of the surrounding world, characteristic of the subject direction
  • electronic diary - with its help, students can view homework and class schedules online, and their parents are always aware of children's progress
  • Information system “Attendance and Nutrition” - in schools equipped with this system, students enter the building via an electronic card - a kind of equivalent to a student’s business card and convenient payment tool

As of May 2015, 2500 students and 60 teachers participate in the pilot project.
