The state kunsthalle Karlsruhe ( German Staatliche Kunsthalle Karlsruhe ) is the state art museum in Karlsruhe , which presents works of predominantly German, French and Dutch masters of the last seven centuries.

The building of the art gallery was erected in 1836 - 1846 . under the leadership of the architect Heinrich Hübsch and is one of the oldest museum buildings in Germany. The museum’s collection began with the so-called "Cabinet of Painting" by Margravine Carolina-Louise of Hesse-Darmstadt (1723-1783).
Collection
In the permanent exhibition in the main building about 800 canvases and sculptures are shown. The collection is famous for the works of German painters of the late Gothic and Renaissance , Dutch and French masters of the XVII and XVIII centuries, as well as German artists and sculptors of the XIX century. The museum also presents works by German artist Hans Thoma (1839–1924), who served as director of the Kunsthalle.
In the building of the greenhouse there are works of the XX and XXI centuries, among them canvases by Manet , Corinth , Pissarro and others.
