The 11th Russian Ice Hockey Championship was held from November 18, 2002 to March 7, 2003 .
22 teams participated. The preliminary tournament on the territorial principle: Eastern and Western groups, then the playoffs, starting from the 1/8 finals, a series of butt matches for 5, 7, 9, 11, 13, 15 places, a tournament for 17-22 places. 294 matches played, a total of 2353 goals scored.
The champion of Russia was the team Vodnik ( Arkhangelsk ).
