Consolidated PBY Catalina

PBY-5A "Catalina" (from English - "Catalina") - marine patrol bomber ( flying boat ) of the firm Consolidated (PB - patrol bomber, Y - index of the firm Consolidated, 5 — ordinal number of the structure, A — Amphibian). "Catalins" in the USSR

A licensed copy called GTS (Hydro Aircraft Transport) was produced in Taganrog from January 1939 and until October 1941 27 aircraft were produced, 11 of which were based in Sevastopol until the end of the defense [1] .
