Biography

He was educated in Warsaw , France and Germany , received an engineering degree in St. Petersburg . Then he graduated from the Catholic Sein Theological Seminary and the Catholic Imperial Theological Academy with a master's degree in theology.

Since 1883 - priest, vicar of the parish in Senno. Since 1890 - administrator and dean in Lepel, where he built the temple, but came into conflict with priests who enjoyed the support of the authorities. After that, in 1897 he was transferred to Kazan , where he also built a temple. He served in this city as rector, lawmaker for Catholic children in all secondary schools of the city (since 1900 ) and military chaplain . Since 1912 he served in a parish in Vladivostok , where he built the third temple in his life in the Neo-Gothic style. He converted the old prayer house to accommodate a small seminary.

February 2, 1923 appointed bishop in Vladivostok; The consecration took place in Harbin on November 28 of the same year ( consector - architect Chelso Costantini , at that time the apostolic delegate in China, later the cardinal ). He was able to cross the Soviet-Chinese border and return to his diocese, but his ministry took place in difficult conditions. The parish house, the seminary building, the Polish school and the orphanage were nationalized, Bishop Slivovsky himself was evicted from Vladivostok and settled under the supervision of state security agencies in the Sedanka settlement, where he died. Buried in a local cemetery. During the years of Soviet power, the cemetery was destroyed. The bishop’s grave is lost.
