Amateur career
In 1995, Lozano performed at the World Championships in Berlin , where he reached the quarter-finals. In the 1/8 finals, the Spaniard defeated the Ukrainian boxer Oleg Kiryukhin (by points, 6: 4), but at the next stage of the tournament he lost to the future silver medalist of the championship Bernard Other ( France ) (by points, 1: 6).
