Tevkel ( Tat. T .fkilevlər, Tәfkilevlәr ) - Murza , Tatar noble family. They come from Urazley-Murza Tevkelev, who lived in the Kasimov Khanate . Many representatives of the clan had second Russian names.

Urazley [1] is mentioned in 1610 as “ Bezhettsky pyatiny Tatars Urazleiko Tevkelev”, with a local salary of 300 chety . From this document it is clear that his mother's name was Narmas. Urazley had a son Uraz-Mamet, the last sons Davlet-Mamet and Abdrakhman.

Davlet-Mamet Murza Uraz-Mametev son of Tevkelev - Yaroslavl feed Tatar, had an estate in Vladimir and Yaroslavl counties. In 1669 it was noted among the inhabitants of the village of Sheldais of Kerensky district .

Mamesh-Murza Davlet-Mametev the son of Tevkelev - Murza of the city of Kasimov , had estates in Kasimovsky , Vladimir, Temnikovsky and Kerensky districts, which he inherited from his grandfather and uncle. Kutlu-Muhammed Mameshevich Tevkelev ( Alexei Ivanovich Tevkelev , Tat. Kotlymkhkhmmt Mamesh uly Tfkilev ; 1674 - 1766 ) - Russian diplomat, founder of Chelyabinsk , major general ( 1755 ).

 Having stepped over national humiliation (in particular, through the ruins of the Kasimov mosque [2] ), Kutlu-Muhammed made a very successful career. His “trump cards” were Russian-Tatar bilingualism [3] and ruthless diligence. 

- M.I. Devletkamov wrote about this [4] . Alexey Tevkelev became the founder of the Ufa branch of the Tevkelevs.

Yusup Kutlu-Mametov son Tevkelev ( Osip Alekseevich ; 1707 - 1773) - second major. He owned the Varzino-Alekseevsky plant. He was killed in 1773 during the suppression of the Pugachev uprising (he served in the corps of General-Major F. Yu. Freiman), his wife - Daria Alekseeva, the son of Shagin-Girey.

Shagin-Girey Yusupov Tevkelev ( Pyotr Osipov ) - refrate corporal of the Horse Guards Life Guards , a large landowner, in 1789 owned 2110 peasants of both sexes in the Ufa, Vyatka and Ryazan governorates, which he inherited from his father.

Salimgarey Shangareevich Tevkelev ( Tat. Sәlimgәrәy Sh Шingһrәy uly Tfkilev ; 1805 , Kilimovo - January 2, 1885 , Ufa ) - mufti ( 1865 - 1885 ), a major philanthropist.

  • daughter Zukhra ( Zorya Pavlovna ; d. in 1916) - the wife of Prince Akhmed-Girey Chingiz, the son of Khan Dzhangir Bukeev.
  • son of Kutlu Muhammad.

Kutlu-Muhammed Batyrgireevich Tevkelev ( Tat. Kotlymkhhmmmm Batyrgury uly Tfkilev ; 1850 - after 1917 ) - Muslim public figure, large landowner, colonel. Member of State Duma of all 4 convocations from the Ufa lips. (member of the Cadet fraction). The leader of the nobility of Belebeevsky district, Ufa lips. (1905-10, 1914-17). Member of the Congress of the Peoples of Russia, held in 1916 in Lausanne ( Switzerland ). In the summer of 1916, during the Pan-Turkist uprising in Turkestan and the Steppe Territory, together with A.F. Kerensky , he headed a special commission of the Duma aimed at studying the causes of unrest. The further fate of Kutlu-Muhammad is unknown.

Abdrahman Branch

Ramazan Abdrakhmanov Tevkelev - translator of the Ambassadorial order , cousin of Kutlu-Muhammed Mameshev.

His son Mustafa Ramazanov Tevkelev - translator of the Foreign College, college assessor, was mentioned on September 28, 1754 in the decree of the Foreign College.

Murtaza’s son - Akhmet , was baptized with the name of Mikhail Alexandrovich Tevkelev , the ensign of the Butyrsky regiment.

Family estates

The Tevkelevs were large landowners. The main family estate of the Tevkelevs was located in the village of Kilimovo (now the Buzdyaksky district , the Republic of Bashkortostan ). The palace and manor complex included the palace itself, a park, a mosque, an orchard. At the beginning of the XX century. this estate passed to Tevkelev’s son-in-law, Salimgare Jantyurin.

The Tevkelevs also owned the Tevkel farm in the Orenburg district . By the beginning of the 20th century Tevkel estates was sold out.
