History
Eidos PLC, which later became Eidos Interactive, was founded in 1984 as a company specializing in video compression and non-linear editing systems, especially for Acorn Archimedes computers, and placed shares on the London Stock Exchange. After a series of questions regarding rights and share price increases, Eidos PLC made a number of acquisitions in the gaming sector, starting with the acquisition of computer games by Domark Group Limited (Domark) , Simis and Big Red Software in 1995 through a takeover. At the time, Domark was known for the 3D Construction Kit , Championship Manager , Hard Drivin ' , and many other products. Domark, Simis and Big Red were merged into Eidos Interactive. In the 1990s, the company became one of the fastest growing in Europe.
