A Brief History
Previously, there was a line of fortresses that protected the Russian borders from raids by nomads. Initially, the tract Black Otrog was given to the Cossacks of the Prechistenskaya fortress on the Sakmara River. The village of Black Otrog itself was founded relatively recently, in 1827 [2] on the banks of the Sakmara River by Voronezh peasants - immigrants who came from the villages of Korotoyak Uyezd (the village of Levoe, etc.) [3] . In the early spring of 1827, 149 males left their homeland, heading for Siberia, in the Petropavlovsk district of the Omsk region, but due to the distance of the road, they remained wintering in the Prechistenskaya fortress, and then completely went to the nearby tract where they settled.
The events of the peasant war under the leadership of Yemelyan Pugachev , described in Alexander Sergeevich Pushkin's novel Captain's Daughter, unfolded in these places. In 1840, all the lands along Sakmara and the Urals became part of the territory of the Orenburg Cossack army . Joining the Cossacks obliged the villagers to carry out many years of service, subordinated their whole life to the rules of a military settlement. Orenburg Cossacks were involved in foreign wars.
Black Otrog is one of the recognized centers of knitting in the Orenburg region, specializing in the manufacture of warm Orenburg down scarves . The role of puff knitting in the life of the village is evidenced by the fact that the puff knitting artel was opened in the village earlier than the collective farm, that out of 280 yards in 1926, 235 were engaged in the manufacture of scarves. The works of black-masters' craftswomen are kept in the collection of many museums in Russia and exhibited abroad. [four]
In 1934, the Black Otrog became the district center of the educated Gavrilovsky district. On April 3, 1959, in connection with the reform of the Gavrilovsky district, the Black Trog Village Council was formed. The newly created municipality in the Saraktash region today includes the villages of Black Otrog, Ablyazovo, Izyak-Nikitino, Nikitino, Studensy, the village of Sovetsky and the station of Black Otrog. The population of the Black-Trog village council is 3735 people, the area occupied by the municipality is more than 33 thousand hectares.
