The flag of the Kamchatka Territory is the official symbol of the Kamchatka Territory of the Russian Federation . On February 17, 2010, by the decision of the session of the Legislative Assembly of the Kamchatka Territory, the Laws of the Kamchatka Territory on the coat of arms, flag and anthem of the Kamchatka Territory were adopted. The official flag raising took place on July 1, 2010 - on the day of the third anniversary of the formation of the Kamchatka Territory.

Content

Description

The flag of the Kamchatka Territory is a rectangular panel of two horizontal stripes: the upper one is white, the lower one is azure with the image of the coat of arms of the Kamchatka Territory located in the roof: three different-sized volcanoes in black with silver-plated peaks, with a scarlet flame emerging from each peak surrounded by silver smoke. Behind the silver volcanoes, the rising sun is depicted in silver. Around the sun - a national ornament, consisting of scarlet and azure triangles, circled in silver edging. Scribble triangles are located on the inside of the ornament and face outward. The azure triangles are on the outside of the ornament and are turned with their vertices inward.
The ratio of the width of the flag of the Kamchatka Territory to its length is 2: 3. The ratio of horizontal stripes in width is 2: 1. The ratio of the square to the flag square of the Kamchatka Territory is 1: 4. The ratio of the height of the figures of the coat of arms of the Kamchatka Territory to the width of the flag of the Kamchatka Territory is 1: 6.

The Kamchatka Territory was established on July 1, 2007 ^[2] as a result of the merger of the Kamchatka Region and the Koryak Autonomous Okrug , according to the results of the referendum held on October 23, 2005 .

The flag of the Kamchatka region is a rectangular panel of two horizontal stripes: the top is white , the bottom is blue . The ratio of the strips in width is 2: 1. In the roof there is an image of the figures of the coat of arms of the Kamchatka region: fire-breathing hills and waves; hills are depicted in black, with a red flame, white peaks, bordered at the edges and smoke, waves - blue and white; white details of the image (except for waves) are separated from the white background of the panel by thin blue contours. The ratio of the width of the flag to its length is 2: 3.

After the unification of the regions, the flag of the Kamchatka region became the flag of the region.
