“ Bremen ” ( 無 頼 男 - ブ レ ー メ б - Buraydan Bureeman ) is a manga authored by Umezawa Haruto , which was published in the Japanese magazine Shonen Jump from May 1, 2000 to December 1, 2001. The series is completed and has 9 volumes . Manga talks about four Japanese teens who want to become the "Gods of Rock." The name is copied from the name of a musical group from the Brothers Grimm fairy tale of the Bremen Town Musicians , since each hero of the manga is similar to one of the heroes of this fairy tale.

Story
Reiji, a young punk guitarist, is about to become a professional musician and decides to run away from home to leave for Tokyo. But fate brings him to Romio, an unusual guy who decided to achieve success and wealth by any means. Together they go to conquer the capital, meeting on the way both friends and enemies. They were later joined by drummer Ryo, bass player Ran, and their loyal fan Ruri.
Characters
- Kasuga Romio (aka Sidney Rox)
- Vocalist of Bremen. A young wanderer who once encountered Reiji in his hometown and decided to accompany him to Tokyo. He is the group’s most powerful fighter, capable of knocking out a throw of 10 yen coins. He suffers from amnesia and has no idea who he was, so he chooses his own name, despite the warning that a person with that name will fail. Romio is cheerful, wild, and reckless. He looks like a dog from the Bremen Town Musicians, as he behaves as badly as a stray dog.
- Hino Reiji
- Guitarist and songwriter wearing a mohawk . He was already in another group, but the rest of its members did not share his views on rock music , so Hino was forced to leave. After meeting with Romio, he decides to leave for Tokyo to test himself on the larger stage. Because of the Iroquois, it looks like a rooster from the Bremen musicians.
- Hayama Ryo
- Bremen Drummer. Although Ryo looks like a sexy girl, “she” is actually a disguised guy who feels uncomfortable in his male body. He dresses like a girl because he feels that this is precisely what corresponds to his true nature. Ryo wears boots with a 40 centimeter sole, which will be used as the main weapon. Hates being called “okama” ( jap. shemale ). “She” looks like a cat from the Bremen Town Musicians because of her feline movements and actions.
- Fuji ran
- Bassist in the band. He was part of the Sulfuric Acid group and left after he had reached the age of 20, although he was completely considered to have left after a fight with the crazy vocalist of Sulfuric Acid. He has an absolute ear that makes him a great musician. Her dream is to save money and buy a Ferrari F40 . It was he who coined the name of the future group, albeit by accident. The Ferrari logo is a galloping horse, so Ran is like a “slow donkey” from the Bremen Town Musicians.
